When choosing someone to install your network, peace of mind comes from selecting an experienced IT company that specializes in wiring. WireMySpace is that trusted partner. As a means of authenticating our credentials, we invite you to review three distinct case studies, as well as installation photos, that highlight our wiring expertise.

Wiring a Smaller Shared Office Space

Customer Type:Law firm
Number of Employees:10+
Office Tech:Comcast Voice Edge VOIP Phones
Mac and PC
Private and public WiFi
Office Size:4,000 square feet
Type of Wiring Used:Cat5e

In this scenario, our client was a lawyer who rented space to other attorneys within a 4,000-square-foot workspace subdivided into individual private offices. The client had previous wiring installed and was having all sorts of connectivity, printing and WiFi issues due to a sub-standard installation. After assessing the needs and discussing potential solutions, we came in on a Saturday to perform the work needed to resolve the connectivity issues. In a single day, we removed unnecessary wiring, tested and fixed all existing connections, added more wiring, and strategically mapped and installed WiFi access points where needed. Additionally, we provided Comcast with configuration instructions to simplify and optimize the shared phone and computer network. To ensure future success, we labeled all of the equipment and provided detailed operating instructions. On Monday morning, the client and her tenants resumed their work in a much more functional and productive work environment.

Our team helped a fast-growing tech/marketing firm complete a build out of their new 12,000-square-foot office space in River North. We worked with several contractors and service providers, including an electrician. We were responsible for planning and running all wiring from their IT server room to employee workstations, meeting rooms and access-point locations. The client requested that any visible cabling be matched to the company’s brand colors for an aesthetically pleasing look, and we were happy to comply with their request. Forward Space supplied the furniture, and we discretely integrated the wiring into the furniture housing for a professional look. Each meeting room was equipped with A/V tools and an iPad outside the entrances, enabling participants to easily see who is participating in each meeting. To ensure successful operation, our team provided detailed instructions on how to operate the A/V equipment for each meeting room and executive office.

One of the more important aspects of this project was ensuring the best and most reliable spots for WiFi access and optimizing wireless connectivity prior to client move in. We also needed to ensure scalability of the space as the company was growing quickly. Because some ceilings and walls were not going to be accessible after construction was complete, we were proactive in strategically planning and installing wiring for future system growth as the company continues to add employees.

We did a complete wiring buildout for a large West Loop catering company that comprises multiple venues and a restaurant, including a kitchen, sales office, tasting rooms and warehouse. Working alongside multiple contractors, we ran wiring to support their computer network, phone system and WiFi needs, as well as A/V, XLR speaker cabling and commercial kitchen appliance-monitoring systems. Although most wiring was hidden, at the client’s request, we installed only “aesthetically pleasing” cabling when it was visible in customer-facing areas.

Working with the client’s POS vendor (Micros), we mounted and wired POS touchscreens and printers with a focus on proper ergonomics and employee safety. Additionally, we installed more than 30 cameras and added additional wiring throughout the facility for surveillance growth up to 50 cameras. To give peace of mind for kitchen operations, we worked with the commercial-kitchen contractors to integrate their systems to the network for offsite monitoring and alerts.

Our team provided full documentation, labeling and training on all of the equipment installed. Precise attention was paid to the client’s WiFi needs since some of their larger events may involve hundreds of guests or employees participating in online activities (e.g., auctions, training, etc.). One of the unique aspects of this project was the client’s request to have a member of our team review all future sales contracts to confirm the system’s ability to deliver on the proposed technical needs of each planned event. By designating IT support for this client, we will be able to quickly identify and accommodate any system changes or additions that may be needed going forward.
